This father is raising 5 children with his wife living in a house that was put up from their relatives. The children, ages 15 months, 9,12,13, and 15 years old. Even after getting into a house there are still a lot of things that this family is in need to make this house their home.

POSTED WISH: "Hello my name is Clarissa, My husband spent 10 years in the army and was medically discharged. After leaving the army he did not have any skills that would be useful in the job market. He became a truck driver and due to lack of medical and dental care he has lost all his top teeth. He was told once it was also something that weakened his teeth which is why they all started breaking off. He never smiles, he is scared to talk to people. We have since put him through school and he is now a ford tech.

Over the past several years our growing family has suffered several financial setbacks and we have acquired a generous amount of debt. Jared is in the Army (Special Forces) and because of the numerous deployments, long training events, hectic work schedule, and the high cost of childcare I am unable to work. We have three daughters under the age of five that contribute to the general financial stress. We think we have stemmed the tide of accumulating debt; however, we need help.

Catherine, a stay at home mother/wife of three children. With rough financial times and living off one's salary, this family was forced to turn somewhere else for help. Times have been hard for this family of juggling expenses, and having enough left over to satisfy and feed their children. With no promising jobs due to the economy the way it is, it has been hard to get a second income. Catherine then decided to reach out to WUAH in search of a hero for her and her family.

Meet Samantha, a loving mother of two girls was in need of help from WUAH once again. WUAH granted a previous wish of this Oklahoma mother to get to St. Louis to help her get on the transplant list for new lungs she is in need of. A wish was posted to get this mother to St. Louis for three days. The importance of this visit was to run final tests and education to put on the transplant list for her new lungs. While living off $673.00 a month, along with food stamps it is hard for this family to raise enough money to afford this trip that was needed.

Jasmine, a 3 year old little girl, has been through a lot in her life. She barely survived meningitis, had three brain surgeries, and was only given a 10% chance of survival. Fortunately, Jasmine survived but as a result of the disease she was almost completely deaf. She was fitted with a hearing device that restored her hearing loss. She actually started to speak because of the device. Unfortunately, while playing outside one day, she lost the processor for the implant. This is a very expensive device which cost almost $9,000 and her insurance company refused to purchase another device.

Recently retired from the Army and unable to find a job Hurricane Irene wreaked havoc on this veterans home.  New rain gutters were needed because the downspout was sending water into the basement. Water also went into his daughters room but when we called the insurance company, they came out and said that the water was from a leaking roof which was not tied into the hurricane.  A new roof  was also needed.
